By Sophia Ramos of Always A Pleasure
Is your site as effective as it could be? Are you in the process of evaluating your site design versus a make over and the potential benefits? If so, then you would be in the best position by implementing a few quick fixes now for better outcomes later. Consider the following aspects marketing campaigns, design, content, functionality, technology, reporting and content management. The purpose is to review each area and document your findings so that you can improve on the weakest one. Marketing Campaigns: What kind of marketing vehicle? ⋅Is your site SEO'd? (if you're unsure, it probably isn't) ⋅Could you generate more leads from businesspeople who are searching for vendors or suppliers online? ⋅Could your site do more to help you generate new leads? ⋅Do you need to do more email marketing but your site isn't strong enough? ⋅If your product or service is a high-ticket item with a long sales cycle, could your site help to educate and nurture your prospects. ⋅Could your site be more valuable in marketing to existing customers? ⋅Could you use it to process orders? ⋅Does it truly help you deliver information and educate prospects? Remember for each question listed evaluate your site and answer with: ⋅needs improvement, ⋅fine as is or ⋅not sure. For those areas that could use improvement, describe what you would like, how much work is involved, and the steps to get there. If you are committed to making your site a true marketing vehicle then you will have to learn about the industry, search email, online advertising, publicity etc. (aka internet marketing). Why? So you can determine the best campaigns for your company and brand because it is then that you will be able to develop with confidence. |
